Senior Manager/Supervisor
As a Senior Business Intelligence Data Consultant, you will be accountable to create sophisticated dashboards, reports and data visualization using primarily Qlik Sense (other technologies such as Power BI, may also be leveraged.
You will use your data modeling skills to consolidate data from different data silos and bring them together using thoughtful data modeling patterns (e.g. using Star Schema, Snowflake etc.) and create insightful reporting for CxOs and other senior stakeholders. You will present how and when to use these dashboards and reports, and what user journeys to follow to get the most out of the consolidate analytics.
Your work will help us deliver sophisticated reporting to our existing customer base and help them surface new insights into their customer experience data (survey data, financial data, operating data, etc.) we collect and help them make better business decisions. As individual contributor in the Sales Engineering function, you will report into VP, Sales Engineering.

You are a perfect match for the role if you have:
- Bachelors’ Degree (Computer Science or Mathematics or Physics).
- Between 6-8 years of experience working as a Data Analyst or Data Specialist, with 3+ years coding and developing applications in Qlik Sense to deliver cutting edge dashboards.
- Experience handling 100GB-500GB data siloes!
- Advanced knowledge of using sophisticated analytics and reporting applications such Qlik Sense, Excel (experience with PowerBI will be considered as an advantage) using advanced functionality of each tool such as Macros, Set Analysis, and native scripting.
- Advanced knowledge of creating multi-dimensional data models (Star Schema, Snowflake, etc.) for efficient storage, retrieval and creation of analytical dashboards using different of datasets
- Proficiency in extracting data from different database types and storage systems (NoSQL, SQL, Document - Mongo, Hive, Elastic Search, Relational DBs, flat files, JSON/Excel/.csv files).
- Proficiency in scripting (e.g. using Power Shell / Bash / Python or other,) for creating robust ETL pipelines from Sources like Elastic, Mongo, Hive and Flat files
As a Senior Business Intelligence Data Consultant at SMG, this is what you will do:
- Create self-contained analytics applications to deliver dashboards, views, reporting using Qlik Sense (in some cases, using Power BI).
- Responsible for installing and configuring the software stacks, virtual machines (VDIs), or on-prem servers, that help host these BI technologies.
- Responsible for creating ETL pipeline using Qlik Connector and/or raw scripting/coding (e.g. using bash, PowerShell, or a programming language of your choice) to support data extraction, load and transformation.
- Responsible for creating middleware to integrate with 3rd party tools like Qlik’s NPrinting Extensions and modeling tools like R to extend the functionality of our analytics applications.
- Responsible for automating creation of high-quality slideware (MS PowerPoint) using PowerPoint extensions like NPrinting for Qlik.
